Our Team

Gino Catania - Senior Fire Safety Engineer / Director

Gino has extensive experience in the Building Code of Australia (BCA/NCC) and undertaking performance-based design in fire safety for residential, commercial, industrial buildings and large isolated buildings (of various classifications).

He has performed numerous fire safety audits and qualitative risk assessments of health care facilities and residential care accommodation, in accordance with the Department of Human Services CDG Guidelines, which due to the level of care provided and occupant characteristics, typically prescribe mandatory fire safety measures that exceed the minimum requirements of the Building Code of Australia.

Gino has prepared fire engineering reports in response to Building Notices and Building Orders by councils, with a view to provide an acceptable level of fire safety having regard for practicability of upgrades and age of the subject buildings.
